Singapore Visa Fees & Processing Time from India (2026)

A Singapore visa for Indians costs ₹3,400 in total through an authorised agent: the ₹2,100 visa fee plus a fixed ₹1,300 agent service charge. The ₹2,100 is non-refundable even if the visa is refused. Processing takes 3 to 5 working days, and there is no official extra charge for urgent applications.

Searching for the Singapore visa fee from India throws up confusing answers: S$ 30, ₹2,100, ₹3,100, ₹3,400, and even ₹2,550 on older pages. This guide explains what each number means, what you actually pay in 2026, how the processing days are counted, and how to avoid paying more than you should.

What You Pay For: The Fee Breakdown

The visa fee: ₹2,100

With effect from 1 January 2026, a visa fee of ₹2,100 is charged for each application submitted. It must be paid upfront when the application is submitted. It is non-refundable, whether your visa is approved or not.

The fee is the same however long your trip is. A 4-day weekend and a 12-day holiday cost the same.

2. The agent service charge: ₹1,300

Applications for Indian travellers are submitted by authorised visa agents. On top of the visa fee, the Singapore Consulate-General in Mumbai states a fixed service charge of ₹1,300 per application for authorised agents. It also states that urgent applications carry no additional charge.

The Consulate-General adds that it is not liable for extra charges imposed by non-authorised third-party agents. So always ask for an itemised receipt that shows the visa fee and the service charge as separate lines.

3. The total: ₹3,400 per person

Visa fee ₹2,100 plus service charge ₹1,300 equals ₹3,400 per applicant.

Why You See Different Singapore Visa Fees Online

If you have seen other numbers, here is why:

  • S$ 30: This is the fee ICA publishes in Singapore dollars. For Indian applicants, the Singapore missions in India collect a fixed ₹2,100 instead, so a converted dollar figure is not what you pay. Some blogs claim a Singapore-based friend or relative can apply directly through ICA and pay only the S$ 30 fee. If that route interests you, confirm the current fee and eligibility on the ICA website first, and remember your contact must be a citizen or PR aged 21 or above with a SingPass account.
  • ₹1,000 or ₹650 service charge: These are older figures. The current charge published by the Consulate-General in Mumbai is ₹1,300.
  • ₹2,010 or ₹1,900 visa fee: These belong to earlier periods before the January 2026 change.
  • ₹3,100 total: This adds the old ₹1,000 service charge to the ₹2,100 fee.

Because fees change, check the current numbers on the Consulate-General visa page before paying.

Costs Not Included in the Visa Fee

The visa fee does not cover everything you may spend while preparing:

  • Passport renewal, if your passport has less than 6 months of validity. See our passport services.
  • Passport photographs that meet ICA guidelines.
  • Flights and hotels. Compare flight tickets and hotel options before you commit, and avoid fully non-refundable bookings until the visa is approved.
  • Travel insurance, which is not part of the visa application but worth having.
  • A visit pass extension fee, if you overstay your granted period and apply to extend. Check ICA for the current amount.

The SG Arrival Card is free. ICA does not endorse commercial services that charge to submit it, so never pay for it.

Singapore Visa Processing Time from India

The Consulate-General states that applications are processed in 3 to 5 working days, excluding the day of submission, weekends and holidays. Some applications can take longer, and each one is considered on its own merits.

How the working days are counted

Suppose your agent submits your application on a Monday:

Day

Count

Monday

Submission day (not counted)

Tuesday

Working day 1

Wednesday

Working day 2

Thursday

Working day 3 (earliest expected approval)

Friday

Working day 4

Next Monday

Working day 5 (end of the standard window)

If you submit on a Thursday, weekends push the same 3 to 5 working days further out. A public holiday adds more.

What can slow your application down

  • Mismatched details between Form 14A, the passport and supporting documents
  • A photo that does not meet ICA guidelines
  • A missing or invalid Letter of Introduction (Form V39A)
  • Peak travel periods such as Diwali, Christmas and school holidays
  • Applications that need additional documents or review

When should you apply?

ICA advises applying within 30 days before your arrival in Singapore. A practical window is 2 to 4 weeks before departure. That leaves room for the 3 to 5 working days, plus a buffer if ICA asks for more information. Applying too early can leave your visa unready for your travel dates, so stay inside the 30-day guidance.

Is there an urgent or express Singapore visa?

There is no official paid express tier. The Consulate-General says urgent applications are not charged extra, but that does not mean approval is faster or guaranteed. Be careful with any website promising same-day or guaranteed Singapore visas, or charging a large premium for speed. If your dates are tight, share your documents early, make sure the file is complete, and keep your flights flexible.

How Long Is the Visa Valid and How Long Can You Stay?

Your length of stay is not tied to visa validity. The officer at the checkpoint endorses a visit pass in your passport with the period granted, so check it when you arrive. A visa is also not an immigration pass, and having one does not guarantee entry. The visa is non-transferable: if you get a new passport, you must apply again and pay the prevailing fee.

What Happens to the Fee If Your Visa Is Refused?

The ₹2,100 visa fee is not refunded, whatever the outcome. That is why a document check before submission is valuable: one wrong date or an invalid Letter of Introduction can cost you a fee and several days. At Travel On Call, we review your file before it goes in, so errors are caught first. If you have been refused before, tell us upfront so we can review your situation honestly before you re-apply.

How the Singapore Visa Cost Compares With Other Destinations

If you are planning more than one trip, it helps to budget visa costs together:

  • Vietnam: The government e-visa fee is typically $25 for single entry and $50 for multiple entry, with processing of about 3 working days. See our Vietnam e visa guide, and Vietnam visa for Indians for Indian-specific details. In a hurry? Read our urgent Vietnam visa article.
  • Schengen: The standard adult visa fee is €90, with application centre fees and insurance extra, and normal processing of about 15 days. See Schengen visa services India.
  • Dubai: Fees depend on the visa duration and processing speed. Check Dubai visa services India for the latest details.

A Singapore visa is therefore one of the more affordable and predictable options on the list, with a fixed fee and a short standard timeline.

Smart Ways to Avoid Overpaying

  1. Use an authorised agent and ask for an itemised receipt. You should see the ₹2,100 visa fee and ₹1,300 service charge separately.
  2. Get the documents right the first time. The visa fee is not refunded if the application fails.
  3. Check your passport validity. You need at least 6 months from the date of entry, otherwise you will pay again after renewing.
  4. Do not change passports after applying. The visa does not transfer.
  5. Skip paid arrival-card services. The SG Arrival Card is free on the official ICA e-Service.
  6. Book smart. Wait for visa approval before locking in non-refundable travel.
